Heritage Residential Property

58 Brooks Street, Cooks Hill

When this circa 1880s Cooks Hill property was purchased six years ago it was “unlivable”.

The floor was rotten, as was the staircase and verandah and it had sat idle on the market for two years.

After a meticulous renovation, where anything that could be reused was, the result is stunning. There are recycled timber features throughout, high ceilings, exposed brick and a glass hearth feature through which original granite can be seen.

A favourite feature is a seven-degree temperature variation in the home year-round due to construction techniques. It stays warm in winter and cool in summer.
